DMCA COPYRIGHT POLICY
Codygut respects intellectual property and acts fast when something is wrong. Here is how a notice works.
How to file a notice
Email [email protected] with the subject DMCA NOTICE. Include the exact URL, a description of the work you own, and your contact details. Anonymous notices without proof of ownership are refused.
A usable notice identifies the copyrighted work, points to the material on our site that you say infringes it, and includes a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised. It also needs a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.
What happens next
We review every notice within three business days. Valid claims are taken down first while we investigate. If the claim is wrong, we restore the content and tell you why.
If we remove material, we notify the contributor who posted it and give them a copy of the notice. We keep a record of every action so the process stays transparent. Repeated infringement by the same contributor leads to a permanent ban, not a warning.
Counter notices
If your content was removed by mistake, send your name, address and consent to jurisdiction. We restore the material after ten business days unless the other party files a court action.
A counter notice must also identify the removed material and its previous location, and state under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was the result of mistake or misidentification. Send it to the same email with the subject DMCA COUNTER NOTICE. We will forward it to the original complainant and follow the statutory timeline.
